Can anyone foster this poor pregnant momma?

Because I travel too much to be able to commit to raising a litter. I take adult dogs as fosters as that works better for our situation, and puppies when I have no upcoming travel.

How about you?

Maybe you could work out something with the rescue, like a daily dog walker to exercise mom and clean the puppy den when it needs it? HT told me they have offers of donations to support dogs and litters of puppies; what they don't have are enough foster homes.

I can't take in a litter because my roommate hates dogs and is already mad about mine (preexisting situation). But I would donate to support a litter.

+1.

They really should spay/abort the puppies now. The health care costs associated with the pregnancy and then the costs of the puppies will be astronomical. They are better off putting that money towards adoptable dogs. I hate what rescues in the DMV have become.

I hate to break this to you, but dogs have been carrying and delivering puppies without human level (or indeed any) medical care for millennia, and still do in the vast majority of the world and even in most instances in the US.

Welcome to the modern world where dogs are spayed/neutered and vaccinated. Yes, care for animals is expensive.

This question is ridiculous. You know this dog was a rescue and did not come from a breeder? How the heck would they know the 'father' or 'fathers'?
