Will any of the PTAs show up at the school board meeting? Other than the west side ones that already do.
Will PTAC? Teacher is right there in the name. Will they show up for them? They don't show up for parents (also in name) so it would be refreshing if they do. |
This is standard practice in our non-NOVA but 50K+ student School Division. Which specialists depend on the grade level. For ES, it's the gifted/TAG teachers shuffled around. MS/HS are music, arts, and certain languages. And like one PP mentioned, some teachers like it, others hate it. Most kids and parents are merely happy it's even offered at their school. |
she is such an apologist. My prediction is that she won't run again (and complain about how hard it was with all her private school pals and supporters), quietly put the kids in SSSA and then take well paying ACPS central office job or just be another well paid ACPS consultant like Hutchings. |
I kind of hope she doesn't quietly put her kids in private. I hope she loudly does it. Decide not to run, because really, what can the school board actually do in this town to stand up to ACPS, and let it be known that she's fleeing. Or put her kids in private and run anyways. That's also totally fine in ACPS.. |
I agree except she already seems to be an apologist for ACPS (or at a minimum wants to stay within the “establishment” of Alexandria) so I doubt she will be vocal in challenging them / communicating that ACPS is failing to educate students. |
