My kindergartener brushes at night. My 3rd grader brushes morning and night. When they lose a tooth, we switch to 2x per day.
No cavities yet and the dentist says they are doing a good job. We help them floss a few times a week. |
| 2x a day for 7, 4, and 1 year old |
| My 10yo and 8yo brush their own teeth twice a day. They floss at bedtime. I buy kids’ flossers, so they aren’t dealing with winding thread on their fingers. They may not be doing a perfect job, but they do it willingly and there are no cavities yet. Although, we did recently find out that one or two of my younger child’s molars erupted with weak enamel. Apparently, there is a protective filling in her future. |
| 6 year old brushes her own teeth in the morning, parent brushes them at night. 10 year old brushes her own teeth all the time. Funny enough, the 6 year old is the one at risk for cavities. |
