Trump just ended desantis on the first night

Presidential nominees don't have a lot of opportunities to offer up how they would run things. DeSantis had full control over how he made his announcement. He totally blew it strategically (I mean, twitter?) and execution wise. He looks like someone who makes bad decisions and executes those poorly.

Instead of standing strong with perhaps his wife, he was in a zoom type panel with Elon Musk and others.

He did not lok strong or commanding and the technicals stuff shows his lack of competence or decision making.

I do not like his behavior--but Biden's behavior is just as bad. Just gets better press. And, reversing everything good that Trump did is just bad, bad policy. Like opening the borders Day 1. Leaving Afghanistan in the manner we did--after saying it would not be like Vietnam. Saying that whether we would help Ukraine would depend on whether Russia made a "major" incursion or a "minor" incursion....China policies are horrible. Spy Balloon is now "silly!" Failing to negotiate with GOP on debt limit until AFTER GOP passed a bill.

I think Trump has been treated unfairly. I also do not want him to run again. Most of my GOP friends--maybe all of them--agree with me. Those two things can both be true.

That Trump comment that was posted by OP has now convinced me that Trump will not be the nominee.

No actually Biden never said that any of his opponents should “kiss his beautiful ass”. Trump is disgusting and anyone that ever even considered voting for him needs some serious introspection.

Especially when gun violence has become the LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH for children in America.

THAT ALONE should make any responsible adult, any caring human actually, vote for Democrats. Look at yourself in the mirror and admit that you favor a lower tax rate over saving n the face of six year olds being killed by automatic weapons.

That is LITERALLY what people who vote for Republicans are choosing.

MOST Americans want sensible gun laws, but Republican legislators do not. You hire them.

Strong? Your candidate shuffles around in circles, stumbles up stairs and tries to shake hands with ghosts. He gets pity from world leaders, but everyone laugbs at him behind his back.

Oh - I guess you didn't realize - TRUMP LOST THE ELECTION - and we do feel sorry for him. Although the world leaders he shoved aside so his XXXL a$$ could get through don't pity him.

Trump is not my leader.

Pretty sure this is what the fall of the Roman Empire looked like.

Seriously, what was that? It sounded like a compilation of bad clips trying to paint a picture of something that didn’t actually happen.

I’m not sure what the hell is happening to DCUM lately but something very odd is afoot.

I’m noticing that people here are spending more and more time trashing desantis and either ignoring or even agreeing with trump.

WTAF? desantis is a joke. He’s a tee shirt. A movie of the week. That’s all. He’s not even worthy of all the criticism and attention he’s getting here. And people are sounding almost supportive of trump??? WTH???

You people are losing your damn minds.

I agree, but I think he would have been better off doing a quick video saying "I'm Ron DeSantis. If you don't vote for me then F you!"

Trump is a genius. This is a common wrestling setup where you have the idiot foil (DeSantis) get the crowd riled up before you come out to the ring and body slam him.

NONE of them are good choices!!!

This is really the bottom line, people. Why are we stuck with Ron, Donald and Joe? Where are all the good men/women gone?

We need a Democrat challenger. I like Grandpa Joe, but he's had his turn, now it's someone else's.

Ugh.

Choices are extremely limited in no small part because no person or family can take the scrutiny, cynicism, and bias of the press and instant around the world posts on every comment, picture, and mistake-- even about family members. Who wants power and prestige that much? Not many.

That's fair. This is how I feel too. We might be in the minority though

There are tons and tons of people who document every thought they have and video themselves constantly for social media.... so I think there are still fame and power hungry future politicians out there
