There's a lot of venom being spewed at the OP who is sharing her benign views from having been a former teacher and having worked on the admissions committee of a private school. In this thread and a separate one, posters are attacking her for sharing her experience, calling her "horrible" and just a "Teacher". One of the posters who called her "a TEACHER" was so proud to have gone from a the "playgroup of our choice" to a "#1 choice preschool". Puh-lease. Why all the personal hostility to the OP? Given a large pool of children/people with similar characteristics, the admissions committee will consider other unique factors, just like they do for highly ranked colleges in undergrad & grad programs. By giving the example of World Bank/IMF and and parents working in law, she gave an example of what was common and not so unique.
