No it’s harder because people aren’t planning ahead, you included.


Mine doesn’t expire until 202. Whatever reason for the line, there’s a line and people are deciding they are too important or too special to wait. Were they to spend resources verifying every emergency it would make it more expensive. People like this are how we end up having to have a notarized copy of our ticket and ridiculous things like that.

But aren't there different staff working on these expedited and within 14 days requests vs. the standard processing? There are limited appointments even if you do something like this, there's no guarantee you'll get an appointment close by. I honestly had no issues just getting in the regular "line" and renewing by mail, it was fine. I even got it back in less time than was advertised on the State website.
