I suggest Paris combined with a few days in one other location (London, Belgium, Nice, Switzerland).
Or You might pick your location based on where you can find cheap flights or hotel deals. Sometimes you can get a great deal if you are flexible.

Middle kid graduates in May. They’ve been to Italy, France, Dominican Republic, Mexico and most states along the East Coast. HHI $600-900k varies.

An idea only!

If it’s one trip then pick a group….like France, Belgium Netherlands. You can fly into and out of Paris and from there take train to Belgium and the Netherlands.

Or, Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Slovakia.

Also, you could fly through Iceland and extend to a 24-48 hr layover, tour, and then go to London. Find a long layover and you can get in an extra country if that appeals to you.

Happened by chance once. We were really tired by evening but it gave us a taste and definitely made us want to go back as a stand alone trip.

So many options!

What does HHI have to do with it? If you’re not imaginative enough to plan a meaningful trip abroad, then no one can help you, money or no money (and class or no class).

Paris is always a good idea!!!

You can easily add on a mintrip to London or Brussels from there. Or, stay in France and do a bike trip to Versailles or Giverny (heavenly).

We travel abroad in the summer, unless it's an emergency or a funeral. Otherwise the jet lag and packing is just not pleasant to have to deal with. We're actually homebodies, but since our close parents/siblings live in Europe and Asia, we go regularly to both continents.

We did a family trip to London & Paris. Wanted to be able to say "no" to the HS trips overseas which I knew would be on the horizon. Knew the 4 of us could go if I planned carefully.

As an airline employee, my son is 5 and has been to Mexico 3x and St. Maarten twice. Going to Mexico again next week. Looking at a potential trip to Cuba this year as well. Maybe Europe in the fall if we can swing it.

Has also been to NY, PA, MA, VT, NC, TX, PR all multiple times and about a dozen trips to FL.

I flew on an airplane for the first time when I was 17. Didn't get a passport until my late 20s. My son OTOH been traveling on airplanes since he was an infant and has more passport stamps than some adults I know. Shame is he probably won't remember any of it when he gets older.

Europe is big. 50 countries. One trip is not enough.

I really wish people could just not be a**holes. Why is this so hard for you? OP said she/they have money for one trip. Why would you post this instead of either giving her advice or scrolling by? I will never understand.

Sorry, I read quickly and didn’t see there were budget constraints. Even so, it would help if PP at least could identify a country or region of interest so people can give effective assistance. Europe is a big place.
