Whats also impressive is how being attractive isn’t really a prerequisite for making money. Apparently, you just need to find your niche.

Instagram is also big for advertising OF.

The attractiveness versus niche thing is an interesting dynamic. Drop dead gorgeous people aren't really *that* common, but the magic of the Internet lets us see so many ridiculously hot people on a regular basis. Our brains become accustomed and eventually pretty people fail to impress quite so much as they used to. In the meantime, a person finds they have some other itch that isn't being scratched. Maybe it's obscure, but for any content creator who is good at scratching it, due to the magic of the internet -- even an obscure itch can be shared by enough people to make it lucrative for someone particularly skilled in that area.

Yes, and reddit has a whole sub-forum dedicated to each of them. From there, its easy for the OF content creators to advertise.

Does only fans have any content that is not sexual? Anybody know?

I just came across a dating profile for a PhD psychologist. She listed her Instagram account. I checked her Instagram account. It listed her Onlyfans account. She's very attractive and wears very little clothing (but says she doesn't pose nude). It seems strange to me. I can't imagine seeing her for therapy unless I was also an onlyfans model.

The original intent was not for a sex site. The model was a place where artists/performers could connect with and get paid by appreciative fans. Turned out that was ideal for sexual performers. A few years back, OF was floating the idea of bouncing sexually oriented material (I think in response to pressure from credit card processors.) There was a lot of outcry and I assume they quickly determined they wouldn't have much of a business without sexually oriented material. Now I think there's a bit of a spiral -- if you're an artist not involved in the sex trade, it's probably more difficult to get fans to put OF payments on their credit card or whatever. So, you have fewer non-sex performers. Rinse. Repeat.

They always have. Pretty privilege is very real. But, what’s surprising is that the high earning OF content creators aren’t pretty. They usually have great bodies but that can be built and bought. Plus, content creation and interscting with followers is a lot of work. Someone who’s grossing 7 figures definitely has to have hired help or at least a very open minded bf.

I actually saw a discussion of hired help for OF on Reddit yesterday. According to the content creator on the thread, there are people who offer to do it, and some folks probably do farm out the interactions, but she doesn't think it's very common. According to her, the third parties want a big cut and it will likely be pretty clear pretty fast that it's not the actual OF person responding; word will get out and the brand will be ruined. I have no idea how true any of that is.

I didn’t think people outsourced the interactions with subscribers, but more that if you’re trying to make a serious living on a sex site, you probably need professional make up and hair for your shoots, plus someone to shop for you for more outfits. Professional photo and video (with lighting and multi camera angles) and professional retouching for pics is a must. Then most of them have a work-safe-ish IG and Twitter so you need a social media person to post there, make stories, and draw in subscribers to the paid content. Basically the same stuff that big time bloggers and influencers need. I guess you could do it all yourself if you just wanted some extra spending money but not a full time income.

OF is way more raw than that - which is part of the charm. Its amateur.

I’m not even that old (40), but I remember when you had to get into Harvard and then grind out 100-hour weeks for a decade in law before making that kind of money.

22? Blac Chyna and Denise Richard's are on it
