This Professor seems to have pretty good reviews. 86% on RMP and many of the lower reviews are for a 200 level Chem class. And…almost every eater on RMP who listed his grade, listed it as an A. |
You must be looking at someone else. The person I'm referring to has a 76% approval on NVCC, and a 50% approvsl at another area Comm college. Many of the recent reviews are very critical, and pleading not to take her. But there are others that say it was fine. So very mixed. |
Yep, this is a thing. I wouldn't DE if a student didn't need the credit for HS. I'm also not convinced that sending a college transcript with one course on it taken during HS is going to be necessary for regular college applications. You should be able to transfer the credit later when DC is already enrolled. --College prof |
We had to for some of my older daughter's college applications, although not at any of my younger daughter's colleges. But it was no big deal. We sent it electronically, and it was under $5. |
The NVCC credits and grade were on my kid's private high school transcript and also referenced in letters of rec |
You need the permission of your high school to do this. You can't register at NVCC without it (remember also they are usually minors) |
If your child has any thoughts of playing sports in college, be sure to run this by the ncaa eligibility folks. |
Some, maybe most colleges are going to want to see all college work before offering admission. |
My DC wrote back. No those are not the initials. They are first initial D and last two He. Still teaching on multiple campuses. Good luck! |
I see it now. |
Thank you! I do appreciate the feedback. DC is still pretty insistent on taking Chem 111 rather than something "easier" like English or Humanities. So, it'll be a learning experience for DC either way. DC is planning to just get college credit, not HS/dual. And that's fine with me. Thanks for all the feedback. |
You are most welcome! Good luck! |
