What complete and utter bullshit. So if a straight couple uses a sperm donor, the man should have to adopt the child? That’s ridiculous, and deeply unfair.

This is the crux of it right here I think. I might be best for this child to have no contact/parental rights assigned to their bio mother’s ex-wife but surely we have legal systems in place for terminating parental rights of abusers and that should be the process used, not saying gay marriages don’t have presumed parenthood!
