Outplacement from Beauvoir

Is this the kind of involved parenting that educators say they want? Honestly, are you all going to follow your kids to college and cut their meat up for them?

Do you really want your second grader knowing that Mommy places such a very high priority on standardized tests and getting into the right 4th grade? There must be quite a number of third graders walking about with the beginnings of an ulcer.

PP, why must you be so nasty? If you don't have helpful information, why not just move on to a different thread. I really don't understand what motivates certain people to hide behind these anonymous posts and spew out such negativitiy. The poster asked, in her opinion, a legitimate question. If you would not use such resources to prepare your child, then move on. I really don't understand what type of satisfaction people get on this site by being so nasty. There is a way to be constructive without being rude. I guess I should just assume that certain people are just unhappy and want to make others feel that way.

Honestly, it helps to be prepared! Standardized tests are the norm, public or private, and if a student (yes, even the young ones) can have a little extra help early on, why not. It helps lessen the stress the day of the test.

You should call STA &NCS to see if you have to apply through the early process or if you can follow the regular timeline if you are unsure if you want to copntinue at a Cathedral School. This whole applying Early to a middle school is new to me but at colleges kid have the option of applying at a regular timeline too. Why not at one of the Cathedral schools? Worht exploring.
