So much meat and junk on these posts, it makes me sad for your kids.
I cook 80% vegetarian dishes, e.g. veggie stews etc. I grew up in Europe where few are overweight are unhealthy. |
PP. Total junk. And then you go to a restaurant and let your kids eats off the “children’s menu”, which by the way does not exist in 80% of the rest of the world. Just 🤦♀️ |
Cereal is basically junk food. You've bought into the marketing hype. A peanut butter and banana sandwich is going to be more nutritious than a bowl of cereal, and more satiating too. |

These are a hit every time with 2 younger kids, they eat 2 until full. I think it will be in rotation for many years to come. Birria from Trader joes. Microwave it and Dip tortillas in the broth, spray oil in a pan and crisp up the tortillas. Add queso and birria meat, wait until tortillas are crispy.
Basically a copy of real birria tacos recipe for way cheaper and very easy. I love them too. |

My kids were like that when little. We would serve what we called “last snack” closer to bedtime. If they had eaten a good dinner it might be more dessert like - fruit and a cookie for example - but if they had t it was something more filling like yogurt, berries and granola - usually something easy we knew they would eat. One of my kids has always struggled to put in weight so it was important for us to make sure a decent amount of food was eaten as opposed to saying, dinner was it, the kitchen’s closed.
I also found though, that one of my kids is a big breakfast/lunch eater but to this day as a teen just doesn’t typically eat as much at dinner. |
