I feel like there is always someone that has to break it to these K moms who are stressed out so I'll do it this time.

Your child reading dragon masters is not that advanced. We had kid in DC's class reading Harry Potter in K and they were in regular reading groups like everyone else. Our school did not go above the end of the year level for K so everyone including the Harry Potter kid had to read the little pamphlets that said stuff like See Jack and Jill run up the hill. All the kids survived and are fine!

The same will be true in private school. Kindergarten is about teaching kids the basics and kindergarten teachers are generally very good about having to differentiate because you're going to have kids who coming to kindergarten already reading learning alongside kids who can't even write their own name
