What is your pet's name, and what ridiculous nicknames do you make out of it?

We have a Bella (lab), but we call her Goopy (just amongst family) because she tends to have sleep "goop" in her eyes when she wakes up. Lately, I have been calling her Gippy, for really no reason at all other than it sounds kind of cute, but we mainly use her real name

Anonymous wrote:We have endless nicknames for our dog. He just keeps getting new ones. We started calling him Meatball, which lead to calling him Meaty and, strangely, Meatward Sweetward. He’s clumsy and bumps into things frequently, so when he’d bonk his head on furniture, we’d call him Bonkward, which became Bonk-Chonk, and Bonk-Chonkity.

He’s been called both Puppington and Pooch, which lead to Poochette (doesn’t fit a male, I know), and that lead to Poochetski, Poochette Spaghet, Poochetti Spaghetti and Poochette Baguette. More recently Pooch has morphed into and Pooh, Pooh Bear, Pooh Boy, Pooey. When he whines we call him Pobrecito. Every morning I greet him by saying hi Puppy, even though he’s no longer a puppy. He will answer to most of these names because he recognizes the tone of voice we use when speaking to him.

This is either a poem or a childrens book. You have a gift with language! What kind of dog is poochette baguette? Please say Doberman, becaus in my mind, he a Doberman

He’s a black greyhound, so not terribly different looking than a Doberman, lol. My dd likes to say that our Poochette Spaghette is looking for his Poochini Rotini (female love interest) so they can settle down together. He’s neutered, but she’s named their imaginary hypothetical offspring Poochini Linguine and Poochini Fettuccine. My children have always loved naming things. 😄

We call our tabby, Baban, our sweet little wonton or mama's baby bonbon.

Then we take it a step further and call him "Babannes" (Ba-BAHN-ees), our baby Wontonnes. (Or we'll cheer, "Won-TON-ees!" while pumping our fist in the air upon seeing him.)

Our reason for calling him our little wonton is we tell him he's full of sweet things, which also applies to a bonbon. Babannes Wontonnes is also a favorite.
