I rhink there would be a huge difference between Bs in regular classes and Bs in challenging/honors/advanced classes. The latter student would be high chance of getting in than the former student, I think.

Mensa (MERF) has done research on higher-IQ (not sure, but maybe 130+) kids. Often, not always, the student rebels against anything the student perceives as busy work. Also, those students often do not naturally learn good study habits (but usually can be taught those skills). This sometimes can lead to higher IQ students getting Bs while above average (but not as high IQ) kids getting As.

Same, but it’s with the diagnoses 2E family members. They come off very self centered, at work and at home.
