OP said he DID make quota! What is wrong with you?!

I think the phrasing is confusing… “he’s the sales leader… BUT… did make quota”, the BUT makes it feel like the next phase was bad news (because being sales leader shouldn’t be bad)

OP confirm — he made his numbers?

You people cannot read. I’ve never seen a larger assembly of arrogant fools in my life than this site.

Have you visited Twitter?

No they ARE on track to make quota. He’s 39.

Every sales person is "on track" to make quota...until they are not. Lol

I think tech sales is done with you. It takes a certain type of person to meet quota.

No idea why people say it’s a “tech” job — you are in sales and you don’t care what you sell just that you make quota.

This is not your business.

This is par for the course in startups.

My adult children have done a few of them. As long as he understands the stress butt out.

Oh, definitely that’s why I’m concerned. It’s all new business. Tough right now.

I am in cyber security sales and business is booming.  I am not seeing it slowing down anytime soon.  Many clients are still ordering services from us.  My bonus this year '22 is around 1M with a 150K base salary.  It was 750K in '20 and  900K in '21.  Look to be more next year.

OP post is about a tech job, but her DH is in sales. He can pivot to selling bonds, NTFs, beanie babies whatever. Wasn’t meant as a dig, just a good salesman rides above the current tech downturn, they have options to move to other industries that are ascendant.
