Full service company to clean out house and pick out anything of value to sell?

Most people don't value quality. "Fast fashion" and "fast furniture" etc. is what people are after now. You might be able to give them away, or possibly sell them for an extremely low price. But you will not get even a fraction of their value.

I have no real attachment to them anymore that's why I want to get rid of them. As I said, I am willing to donate but don't want them thrown in a heap at a donation center along with Walmart cast-offs. My point is that they DO have some value, to someone. It's much like jewelry. Most people don't want other people's jewelry but that doesn't mean we should just take gold and diamonds and throw them in a donation bin with costume jewelry. Likewise, a handmade silk carpet may be a statement piece someone might like to have. Not everyone is into disposable furnishings.

Use a company that has its own auction site or works with an auction site. Have them come in and help you downsize. They should be able to know what can be auctioned and what can be donated, thrown away.

This is exactly the sort of mindset that makes people overvalue their own items when it comes time to downsize. YOU see these carpets as valuable. But many people will think: "Old carpets, need cleaning, too colorful for my trendy white/gray home." Especially for a bulky item like a carpet, chances are slim of finding someone who wants your taste/size of carpet at the same time and location that you're trying to sell it. Especially at a premium price.

So get in touch with organizations that furnish homes for refugees, the previously unhoused, survivors of domestic abuse. Someone will appreciate a "statement piece" in their new home.
