Which actresses would you say are a size 14/16? Looking for style ideas

I would look for non-celebrity style inspiration. Checkout out "midsizestyle" on Instagram or Pinterest. I've found good inspiration that way. And a broad variety of body types. A size 14 with a large chest has to dress differently than a size 14 with a smaller chest but a big booty.

I’m large chested too and short in height, weight in my midsection and hips, wide calves (Target bra size 44D, 5’2ish (sometimes dr office measurements are 5’3, other times 5’2), 245lbs)

OP, I don't think you're a size 14/16? I weigh 60lbs less than you and am the same height and I am a 14/16.

Christina Hendricks does not look like an American 14/16. She's 5'7"+a and about 155 lbs. That's about my height + 5 lbs, and I'm a size 6/8.

She's probably a 10.

How do you weigh 80 pounds more than me, but are only two sizes bigger?

OP is not a true 14-16. She means 14W-16W which is more like a true 18-20. But I can’t even believe that she is a 14W. When I was 5’7 and 245 I was a solid 16W-18W.

Height and weight do not equate to size.

I am almost exactly the OPs measurements except a 38F. 5'3'' just recently 235. Im in a 16/18. At 165lbs I was a size 10, sometimes 12. It depends on stores and cut. ON sizing and JCrew sizing are different.

Ok, I guess that makes sense, I tried on a 14 plus sized garment once and it was huge, whereas 14 regular of the same thing fit me fine. Sizing is so weird!

Op here. FWIW. I’ve been the same sizing for about ten years now. I shop Madewell for jeans, I am a 32 in their jeans/waist, I’ve purchased from Macys, Chicos, Target, H&M, ON, Jcrew. Same sizing across the board mostly with JCrew running largest, I can fit a 12 pant in JCrew’s Jamie.

Search the size hash tag on TikTok or Instagram. You'll fine lots of inspiration from real people who shop in normal stores!

It's helpful to find someone who has your boob size (roughly) too. I have small boobs and I am a 14. But so many "curvy" girls have a huge rack so tops don't work the same.

Get outta this thread lady. You have no idea what you're talking about. Christina Hendricks is NOT a size 16.

This how insane people's body dysmorphia is. Honestly.

Actual size 14/16 or vanity size 14/16?

I am 5’6” and 180 lbs and I wear everything from a 10 to a 16 depending on the fit.

Op back, I shared in my message above:

I’m not sure what stores do which. I also wear L-XXL in Tuckernuck which tends to carry various brands if that helps determine.

I absolutely don't believe it. I am 5' 4", 211, bra size 44DD, I wear 16/18. Not possible you wear a size 12 pant from anywhere. Or a 32 waist unless your body shape is extremely bizarre. I can't imagine why you are making this stuff up but there's now way I believe your size and sizing claims.
