I have a friend whose kid really liked Frostburg when they visited recently. My dad is an alum-played baseball there. Remembers his time fondly.

We’re in VA and my daughter (a junior) will probably go to either Radford or ODU, which also are looked down upon here.

Screw the haters - your kid will get a good education and probably for a reasonable price.

She loves it, but a long shot for all - especially as a test optional applicant into a direct admit major (special ed). Heard anecdotally that the school of education is where they dump the athletes, so it’s even tougher admit than arts and science. Very good ecs that fit the major, but trying to keep her balanced that it’s a tough admit.

she has some nice target and safety schools, and my take is she will be happy at most -

Hard Target: NEU, BU, UVA, UMD (OOS CS)
Target: CWRU, WM, Lehigh
Safety: Pitt (accepted), UMN (accepted w/$25kyr), OSU
