That was my first thought as well. Because it’s so apparent that the person is t thinking clearly anymore.

Regarding filial laws - I am actually shocked that these exist. I don’t live in a state that has filial laws but it just never occurred to me that a state could enact such a law. I guess I am naive, I should know by now that states sometimes have absolutely insane laws.

Just in the last couple years. It's not large amounts, but many many small amounts that add up--$150 to this political candidate, $35 to that political cause, but 100+ times a day! In California.


If you live in CA, then I think the correct term would be MediCal vs. Medicaid.

Filial responsibility laws are outrageous and a sign of a failed healthcare system. My parents were abusive and neglectful- I would go to jail before I would use my kid's college fund to pay for their elder care or ruin my life letting them live with me. No way.
