| taco bar? |
I know the difference! If you wrap them well in foil, the melted cheese + enchillada sauce would be fine. And btw, empanadas are great too, but you would need more of them for each person |
Sorry, but enchiladas are not a good handheld food. They would fall apart and they are too saucy. Do you mean taquitos or a quesadilla? |
No I mean enchilladas but you are right that taquitos may travel better. |
Have you ever done handheld enchiladas? |
| I'm just over here flabbergasted that someone thinks enchiladas are a handheld food. |
I can’t get past this either. And OP, I agree with pizza. |
Yes |
| I would consider either doing chili again (who cares if it is a repeat) or similar kind of soup idea with rolls. TBH, this whole idea sounds too hard, like too much work for little payoff—most people aren’t going to enjoy eating standing up, with little kids underfoot. Can you reframe this as hot cider and snacks? I’d it’s a rotating thing, most people will be relieved I think if you suggest alternatives. |
I can't get past the visual of a soggy toritilla with the sauce and cheese sticking to the foil. But if it worked for you then kudos! |
I call BS. |
| Why does it have to be hot? Pick up some sandwich trays and chips. |
Burrito??? |
|
I think spaghetti and meatballs is fine. You want a crowd pleaser. I would love Indian inspired dishes but many people may not. Maybe do a couple of choices or sauces or some veggies too.
Or tomato soup in the crockpot and grilled cheese baked in the oven. Why does it have to be hot? If you wanted something breakfast like-bagels, cream cheese, veggies, tuna, egg salad or hard boiled eggs. All make ahead and just set up when you get home. |
| Never seen a handheld enchilada, since they are small and smothered in sauce- most people eat 2-3. Maybe you mean burrito? |
