I doubt most men will be in tuxes even if it's black tie. Can you ask your relatives what they plan to wear?

I’m two not a rule. It’s a weird thing that keeps popping up here (probably because poster). The dress is lovely and many, many people omen will be in black gowns.

Yes, but the DMV is in the south. Some people show up in black, but I don’t when the bride is from the south or midwest. If the bride is from the north, I’d stress the color a lot less.

Since you mentioned you had time, why not get professionally measured by your local seamstress, pick your dress/color, and upload measurements on their site?
