| The dress linked in OP is gorgeous! |
These don't look bra friendly, and something with more of a sleeve might be more flattering. |
| I doubt most men will be in tuxes even if it's black tie. Can you ask your relatives what they plan to wear? |
I’m two not a rule. It’s a weird thing that keeps popping up here (probably because poster). The dress is lovely and many, many people omen will be in black gowns. |
Thank you! |
Yes, but the DMV is in the south. Some people show up in black, but I don’t when the bride is from the south or midwest. If the bride is from the north, I’d stress the color a lot less. |
You need to find a petite dress for fit/length. Otherwise, you’ll need tailoring for an extra 100+. Linked are dresses from the site you linked in your OP. There are so many colors and they offer custom fit for only $20. Since you mentioned you had time, why not get professionally measured by your local seamstress, pick your dress/color, and upload measurements on their site? I used these filtered results: Dark navy, elegant, vintage inspired, party/cocktail, sweet & flow, LBD: https://www.jjshouse.com/Cheap-Cocktail-Dresses-c16/new-arrival/Elegant_p23473i23474/Sweet-Flow_p23473i23479/Vintage-Inspired_p23473i23480/Little-Black-Dresses_p23473i23481/Dark-Navy_p23507i23514/Party-Cocktail-Dresses_p23473i127198/ Throwing this one in for good measure: https://www.jjshouse.com/A-Line-Scoop-Neck-Tea-Length-Tulle-Lace-Mother-Of-The-Bride-Dress-008261946-g261946 |
