I think mine has no regrets.

Applied early at an Ivy and Oxbridge college and rejected at both. Helped her step back and reevaluate app. Got into dream Ivy in RD -- didn't apply ED for FA purposes (& yes we did net price calculator, it's just complicated), and in the end, it was good that she didn't. App needed more revision, and, in the meantime, she earned 3 awards, which helped for RD. The extra time helped her become a more attractive candidate.

If there were a good rolling admissions school for her program, I would have encouraged that, but there wasn't. So, early on, it looked bleak, but RD was very good to her in the end.
