You will have to leave the country to get away from “In God We Trust”. |
I never declared it to be illegal. Note that I qualified my statement. Besides, even if it isn’t illegal it’s insensitive. |
| Sharpie “ALLAH” (= GOD in Arabic) on top and see how it goes |
Well what do you know? I now see that not only is it not illegal - it’s required. I had no idea. So, insensitive or not, OP can’t do anything about it. So, OP, tell your kids to stay out of trouble and avoid being sent to the central office! |
Love this idea! Maybe sharpie a bunch of options including satan and the flying spaghetti monster. |
| I noticed the same thing in my kid's Arlington Middle School. I find it inappropriate. Wish I didn't live in a state where this is the law. |
+1 Haha |
It doesn’t matter if it’s insensitive or not, it’s Virginia law. Same as if you think it’s insensitive to celebrate a holiday, it’s the law whether federal or on a state level to recognize it in schools. |
Move across the Potomac River then. It’s your fault that you can’t adjust to the laws of this southern state, and if you don’t like it you can leave. Simple. |
Back to Maryland or the Northeast I’m guessing? |
| Is this really a discussion about religious influence? Do you not see the pervasive unitarian universalist influences throughout all of FCPS nowadays? |
| Good. Glad to hear it. Go away, OP. |
|
You’re curious where civilized, educated people live? |
Many laws are unjust and deserve to be challenged. |
