You might want to Google custodial interrogation. It’s not like you can sue for a Miranda violation any longer.

He's under investigation for Ghost Gun sales. Has anyone checked with ATF? He lives in Larchmont, NY even though he's not a citizen. It's past time to boot him.

That doesn't mean what you think it does. It doesn't give officers authority to detain. It defines when an individual is legally detained and subject to Miranda.
