The real issue is the poor quality of MCPS (K-12 curriculum) and the quality of instruction but because the taxes are so high here - and everyone’s spouse has a job with a pension and great healthcare in the schools (it seems, but literally everyone) we all just pretend the schools are alright. Rinse and repeat.
