Is Costco food okay at a pool party?

For sure! It’s a kids birthday, thanks for the food!

Absolutely! This sounds like a great party!

I hate Costco cake & pizza, but whatever, it’s fine in terms of “maintaining appearances” (lol)

Costco sheet cake is legitimately my favorite cake- the vanilla one is delicious. I would come to any party for the cake alone.

Have a great time, OP!

This sounds perfect, especially for the pool.

Yeah… kids party is a really low bar though. It also depends how many people are attending. If it is a small party, I would expect better quality food, especially if you are expecting the adults to eat

DP. I and throwing a party and I really want to be classy like you. Can you please recommend a place to get better quality food from?

I am not that PP and I am happy to get down on Costco cake and pizza anytime. That said, Wegman's catering is reliable and a good value for casual family/kid parties. We usually get the wrap and/or sandwich platters, crudite, fruit, cheese and some sides.

I wouldn't eat Costco pizza either. I'm a NYer and hate crappy pizza.

.

Lifelong New Yorker here. Pizza is my favorite food, I eat NY pizza at least once a week, and I absolutely love Costco pizza. It's a different thing, but it is very yummy

Being snobby and dismissive doesn't bolster your claim that you're some kind of expert.

If they don’t like to they can go elsewhere

As long as you have fruit, vegetables, water, juice available too, plus a wrap tray as another option (geared toward parents).

Went to a party recently and they had Costco pizza, a flat of the snack size pringles cans, and a few boxes of chips ahoy cookies, soda. These were wealthy people. It looks cheap and trashy to serve guests only garbage foods

It was a kids party? These are kid party food Thurston. Have your butler take your kid.

The issue on this board is usually whether you have to feed the adults at the kids party. Yes you do. If it won’t break the bank, I’d toss in the sandwich platter in addition to the pizza, but as long as everyone can eat, you’re good.
