I would like a Cartier Love bracelet, but I run every day and rarely wear my engagement ring, so it’s silly to even think about.
I’m a mid-40s suburban mom, but I regularly think about getting some delicate ear piercings in my cartilage. Again it seems silly because I have 5 holes already and I sometimes use 2. |

This thread is SOOOO not my speed. I would not want any of these things.
I have a belt from Lucky that makes me really happy -- it's got a funky pattern on it and always makes whatever outfit look more fun. There are some really fun/cute artisan type belts that I've been eying on Novica. The idea of Vega sneakers or a Cartier bracelet brings me no joy. It just feels like wearing money taped to me. |
| ^ Seriously? Veja sneakers are like $80. Not really the same category as Cartier. |
+1. I honestly can't tell the difference between a $50 gold plated bracelet or a $5000 gold bracelet when I'm looking at a person. Honestly almost nobody can unless they're trained to look for that sort of thing? Certainly, it won't make any difference in whether someone perceives you as more attractive. It will not enhance your beauty in any way, the only point of it is to make you feel fancy, I guess? |
Get yee to eBay! You will surely find more of those Kate Spade bangles there. |
Yeah Vejas are pretty much priced like any other sneaker out there. |

Mikimoto pearls in motion. I also love their station tin cup necklaces which I wear nearly daily, layered. But the pearls in motion is on my wish list. I am not interested in their traditional pearl strands. Once you start wearing mikimoto akoyas it is difficult to go back to freshwaters. Just my opinion.

You seriously can't tell the difference between plate and real gold?? |
No, I honestly can't. Who pays attention to figuring out how expensive someone's jewelry is anyways if you're looking at someone? |
Also, what's the point? So someone can look at you and think you've got $$? There's getting something a little nicer so you feel special, but then there's excess... there's spending a little more $ for an item of clothing because it really does look nicer, fit better, flatter, etc., and then there's just being showy. I never really got why some folks need to be showy. |
Oh I see - it's not welded to your skin! It just doesn't have a clasp. I misunderstood! I just got a pair of gigantic gold lightning bolt earrings that I am wearing with shorts and a t-shirt today because I just feel like being a little bit fancy. Would love to find a good workhorse bag to replace one I don't love as much as I want to. |
