| Of course you can do carry on for 10 days. Heck I've done business travel to Southeast Asia for 2 weeks with only a carryon. Have a capsule wardrobe, rewear a few pieces, don't go hogwild with shoes and bags, and done. |
| I had a 9day vacation with lost luggage. 2 outfits, extra underwear, no makeup and lived in a ponytail. Wore each outfit twice before hand washing. Anything is doable if you try. |
WHAT???!!! |
I cracked up at this too. I think 3 is good enough for 10 days. One wet from yesterday, and for today, and a spare. |
Or 2. One wet one dry. Or one. Put it back on even if it's wet - you're just going in the water again. |
|
My friend's son's GF came to our beach house last year and I swear she wore 2-3 different bathing suits every day.
No worry about them getting wet - she never got in the pool or the ocean. |

Check the airline you are flying. We are flying Swiss Air later this fall and we are allowed 2 pieces of full size carry-on luggage in business class. Even with cooler temperatures and heavier clothes, I plan to find a way to have only carry-on luggage for a 12 day trip because I don't want to be hauling luggage on trains, through cities, etc. For lightweight clothing you should be fine.
|
| The eBags mother lode travel backpack has amazing reviews, lasts forever, is carry on sized for nearly all airlines. use packing cubes! summer clothes tend to be lighter/thinner so you can get a lot more in there on a summer trip, but in winter, you can rewear more of your clothes and pack less (like, I need a new pair of shorts each day of a summer trip but in winter can wear the same jeans 3 times). |
| Just got back from Europe 10 day trip with carry on bag. No way i would check luggage not only for the lost bag issue but the return airport experience was absolutely horrible and took over 3.5 hours WITHOUT checking bags. Would avoid checking at all costs and do laundry no question. |
This bag looks nice but it’s bigger than the carry on size for most airlines. Not sure how that would work if you show up and they make you check it. |
Yeah. I definitely don’t own 8-10 bathing suits. I am not even sure my family of 5 owns 10 all together! |
| Vacuum seal your clothes. You can fit a lot. |
The problem with this is that you have to get everything back home in that same luggage. Where do you find a vacuum seal in Greece? |
|
I would be fine with a carry on and larger purse for this. I use the smaller Away and would probably use a Longchamp as my personal item and purse for the trip.
