Slip on vans are an old trend here but maybe not there - I’d ask about that too. Same price point

LOL

I chuckled too and I’m from California.
So dumb.

"Very ahead of trends". Oh my. A veritable fashion oracle we have on this board.

Most teens are brand conscious. I’d indulge her or make her work to earn them.

Unless it is. Not OP, but it is to lots of people — including me.

All white Nike Air Force 1s

Converse All Stars
Feiyue king fu shoes
Onisuka Tigers

For colorful “vintage” sneaks try Zappos and look for “Classics” like Brooks, Puma, New Balance with “classic” added to the name. This means it’s a fashion sneaker and not a true running shoe.

Kids seem to like the late 80s / early 90s stuff - so classic Keds, classic all white Tretorn, those Reebok high tops with the 2 skinny velcro straps.

Vans slip ons in black and white check - except get the platform sole to make it more “cool” and less mom.

Lol teens don’t want 25 dollar feiyue shoes from
Amazon

DCUM is not going to help you find shoes your 14yo will like. Just tell her the max budget is $130, and let her decide which ones she wants.

What about Vans Old Skool? Lots of fun color options or a basic white. These are what I’m considering, no idea how cool they are but they seem neutral enough.

Or the Nike retro...but they are canvas and will likely look disgusting after a week.

Me too and we make a decent amount. Anyone who thinks $130 isn’t a lot isn’t living in the real world. Not all of us can spend this. I don’t spend that on my own shoes.

So the same shoes kids here were wearing last year. OK.

I meant my kids and friends are generally very ahead of trends. Mentioned west coast bc trends are area specific? Lol sorry that was poorly worded by me
