| I stopped wishing people a happy birthday on FB because no one wishes me one. As long as your immediate family remembers, that's all that matters. |

Put less effort into fussing about other adults on their birthday. Really, it’s ok.
I don’t expect anyone outside my DH and mom to remember my birthday. I make it what I want. |

It took my brother (I have 4) 52 years to remember my birthday. Only this year, he mentioned. Is it your birthday...days later. I always remember all my siblings birthdays because when I was young, i helped filled out my parents paperwork for everything. I even remember a few SSN too. But, I don't get mad at them.
I'm done wishing people anything cause no one remembers mine and it is the day before a big holiday. |
| OP, you might consider telling your friends it’s your birthday. I make plans and invite my friends because I want to celebrate with them. |
Sending happy birthday hugs to you!! |
| at least your husband kids and mom remembered! a few years ago noone remembered--not my mom, spouse, brother or kids. Then the next day I got some sort of happy birthday card from my dentist and my son saw it and asked when my bday was and when I told him it was the day before he actually got upset and made my husband buy a cake (probably upset only because he missed cake). I dont have a FB profile with my bday anymore, so maybe that's why.... |
