The envy and hate are real...

The hate, yes. Most families leave MoCo because they feel duped by MCPS. I am still resentful of the way MCPS treated my family

The envy....sorry, no.

Pity? Yes. pity for the people that still think its a top tier system

DP but there is no way MCPS can please every family. There are always disgruntled families.
Having said that, no school system in the area can compete with MCPS.

+1. The only ones duped are those who believe MCPS is somehow still top. They are on those US News lists due to inertia.

Because OP was asking about experiences in Frederick compared to MoCo, specifically about the school system. That's why we're talking about it....because OP asked about it

Still top sweetie. Y'all still cannot compete with us. We run circles around y'all.

You mean was sweetie - just browse on over to the MCPS site and read about all the overcrowding….

I'm sure the "j" in Ijamsville is silent or sounds like a "y", but I like the idea of living somewhere called "I -Jams-Ville."

Jam on it!

Urbana and Ijamsville is overpriced markets for the amenities and accessibility. Single lane roads takes too long to travel a mile.

? I mean, you're entitled to your own opinion. But I think part of the appeal, to the folks that live here, are things like winding country-side single lane roads.

In fact, they've proposed widening 75 in the past and its been met with strong opposition. The life-style (well, in Ijamsville at least, not so much Urbana) does not mess with 4 lane roads
