Even three months ago that would be unheard of.

But even if not Chevy can the fact Blazer and Equinox discounting puts pressure on competitors with similar vehicles. .

No. You don’t seem to have driven either of these sh[tboxes.

I own a Cadillac and a GMC. I used to own a Chevy and a Pontiac. So I know GM. I went today looking at Hyundai Sante Fe and Kia same size and they were marking them up
6k. I rather buy a disposable Chevy for 28k than a Kia or Hundai for 50k.

How do they even do this when MSRP sticker is right there?

You think Chevy dealers aren’t adding market adjustments to these?

Was just car shopping online and they just the MSRP then in fine print say something like “current market may change pricing”. So you get to the dealership to buy your $29,000 little Mazda and they tell you it’s really 36,000. Insane.

I guess we are going to see just how long my Honda Odyssey will go because I refuse to play this ridiculous game. We literally almost bought right before the pandemic, but I could go another 70k miles at least if I need to. I’m extremely patient.

This is us as well. I am not going to pay a hyperinflated price. Our car still runs ok at this point. I read elsewhere that they are predicting this fall prices will return to normal and you won't have to pay over sticker price

Same. We are so eager to buy a new EV but I'm holding onto my mid-2000s Toyota until the market feels less insane. My Toyota just keeps going and going, luckily.

Same. I am driving a 10 year old minivan with 130k miles. I would LOVE a new car...but it's going to have to wait.

That’s practically a new car! I’ve got a 2004 Acura with 114k and manual transmission. no plans to sell but I’ve had 3 strangers randomly come up to me in the past two months asking to buy my car! I love my car BTW. Nothing but routine maintenance and it drives like a charm.

For EVs, there is an issue where some manufacturers have already committed their entire 2023 production line to customers who pre-ordered and the manufacturers have closed any more pre-orders. For example, I think that if you want the new Nissan that’s coming out in the fall, you are already too late.
