For 16 over? That’s crazy. If it were reckless yeah you’d need one. If you have a clean record your insurance shouldn’t increase that much if at all. Attorney will cost way more.

Even for reckless, an attorney isn't necessary. They will give you the same break if you show in court without an attorney. Believe me, I know. Mark it down to regular speeding, pay the fine, take the points. Same deal you'd get with an attorney.
