Years ago along I-17 in Phoenix, the left wing crazies had billboards demanding that Lake Meade be drained because all of the water in the lake destroyed the wildlife

I wish I was joking.

Well, if Lake Mead had never been created there probably would not have been so much urban development out there. And it is true that dams are an ecological problem.
