Big day in the office tomorrow- should I wear pantyhose?

Depends on your legs and skin tone. Do you have somewhat smooth legs that aren't splotchy looking? If so go without.

My work wardrobe is sort of disjointed and if I don’t wear hose I think the only shoes that work are flats, which is sort of why I was leaning towards hose, but now I’m thinking it’s way over the top, especially in my workplace. I have black hose but my legs are my best asset and are a beautiful color.

If you are wearing a full suit, then yes I would wear hose. But not black. Wear sheer skin tone. Hose isn’t really about color of your legs. It is to even our tone and irregularities (razor bumps, spider veins, random bruise, darker knees, etc.) and take away the informal look of bare legs.

The only acceptable pantyhose are worn in winter, usually opaque black

I think they look much nicer than nude legs. But I am not American and cringe at many things my coworkers wear to work.

I am sorry but a suit with nude legs looks stupid.

Exactly. Maybe a 30 something, model thin, tall, darker skinned or tan woman with great legs might look good, but the rest of us need panty hose with a suit.

OP, wear skin-toned sheer panty hose with the suit. It will only enhance your great legs.

Yes, nude colored.

Same here. We have a female managing partner and she wears business suits with skirts sometimes but even she doesn't wear stockings.

All you never-hosers: aren't your feet sweaty & uncomfortable all day?

I recently lost a significant amount of weight so for a warm day like tomorrow I had some pretty comfy cotton blend pants that are really baggy and silly looking now. My skirts are still ok though, but I’m wondering if I can or should go without pantyhose. It’s going to be 85 degrees tomorrow. For what it’s worth I will be giving a presentation to a delegation from another country and also attending a reception in the evening. It’s been so long; I don’t even know what’s reasonable anymore.
I find pantyhose are like the perfect slippery ultrathin socks for work pumps, heels, and flats. No blisters or callouses on my feet. How snug and broken in are your shoes? If they are brand new, I'd slip the pantyhose in your purse at a minimum in case of chafing.

Same. I love the polished look of hose and I find they make my shoes more comfortable, especially if I'm wearing them all day.

OP here: I went to Target a couple of days ago and picked up black hose because that’s all that they had. I also sort of prefer black hose? I think on my legs it just looks better, nude hose looks weird and unnatural on my legs.

No. I'm in shape and my feet don't really sweat.

I wear different shoes to commute and I don’t get sweaty sitting in the office or popping out to lunch
