OP here. I do get emails that are sent by the Principal via Synergy, usually about school closures or early releases.

Yes, weekly email and Connect Ed phone call on Sunday night, plus separate PTA updates and occasional separate school messages. Teachers are also on Class Dojo and can be texted there almost any time during the school day: they also post updates, reminders, photos, and videos.

Our principal also sends weekly emails. And the school is nowhere near Takoma Park. Sadly, our house is, and I have to deal with these people.
