Rose is used a lot especially with people that want to have a super feminine daughter. |
| I am a Rose and I love it. I also love Caroline. Alice, not as much. |

All are ugly and make me think of heavy metal/ hair bands.
They sound dated. |
|
I like Alice, then Rose, then . . . . Caroline.
All three are fine, I just don't like Caroline as much, find it a bit too popular, and don't like that it can be pronounced two different ways. That said, surname matters! Weird that you won't give any hints. |
| I love Alice. |
Pronounced two different ways in this country? This is news to me. |
Yes, I personally know Carolines that pronounce it "-line" and "-lynne". Happy to provide the news; support my Patreon to keep local journalism alive. |
| Love Alice and Caroline but both are very popular in this area. I don't care for Rose. It seems less strong/capable and more frilly, I guess? |
That’s abnormal though, considering that Carolyn is an actual name. |

This is OP- sorry I have been away from my computer. Our last name is two syllable and starts with an "A", I love alliteration. Rose will be the middle name if not first (DH's grandmother). I am leaning to Alice but Caroline is our other top pick, just seems a bit...staid? We have a Louisa and love it, it's been hard to find something we love as much.
Thank you all for the feedback! |
Yep, the vast majority of Carolines pronounce it -line. |
You have friends that are pronouncing their names wrong. |
OP, in case you want another option, my grandmother and her sisters were Alice, Louisa and Cora.

| Are you a Kennedy? |
