How many schools still have indoor mask requirements?

NP. The personality disorder is called being interested in policy issues. It afflicts many people in DC.

But seriously...get a cause. What are you going to do at the schools that are masking until Spring Break? Cause a ruckus? Stress out already chronically stressed out administrators? Take a deep breath and let these schools figure it out. You don't have all the information about why individual schools are taking slightly longer to life their mandate. It's likely they have a good reason. Chill out.

Being smarter and better-informed than the CDC and health experts worldwide as well as all but 7 percent of educators in this country isn't good enough?

No surprise. Kids have been indoctrinated well.

No idea? My kids wear their masks because I’m on immunosuppressants.

So that's why they pressure others to wear masks as well, even though their own N95 provides a great amount of protection? This wasn't about kids wearing masks for their own private reasons, which they are free and welcome to do.

Where did I say my kids pressure anyone? My kid wears a mask because of my illness. I asked if that was strange to the other kids and she replied no, there is peer pressure to wear one. Honestly if I wasn’t getting infusions, I wouldn’t wear a mask unless the numbers warranted it. But I also know you are just looking for a fight.

Or perhaps they care about others? Not so into the rugged individualism? Who knows? Does it matter?

This has nothing to do with "rugged individualism" and everything with following public health guidance based on scientific data and the balance of risks and benefits, but please continue with your pathetic attempts trying to equate those who care about this issue with the trucker convoy if it makes you feel better. Feelings are so important when it comes to Covid.

Such an ignorant comment. Following CDC guidelines has nothing to do with whatever you're hallucinating.

You know what I’m not hallucinating about? You being an angry busybody. Relax and don’t wear your mask. No one care.

Please look at the thread of comments you replied to above. Your comment about your kids' reason for wearing masks was in direct response to two comments about peer pressure. Maybe you meant to reply to someone else?

DP. I bet she wishes HER KIDS were allowed to take off their masks at her charter, which is what this thread is about. She, as adults in general, is free to unmask in all but medical contexts.

Kids largely do not care about it. They only care if they know their parents are annoyed by it.

This a very small-minded view of things.

I am perfectly chill about the unmasking issue as far as my own kids are concerned, because they are already allowed to do so. But I continue to take an interest in this topic because a) I think ALL kids, not just my own, should be given this freedom, and b) because masking is just the most visible expression of the much larger issue of restrictions this society has imposed on children because of Covid. The way we have treated kids the past two years represents one of the biggest domestic policy failures of this pandemic, and it will be a long time before the ramifications are fully known, and some of the harms will be impacting many kids for the rest of their lives.

Got it. It's not about masking it's about your outrage over vaccines, testing, and other measures fully supported by CDC DOH. Thanks for putting your nutty cards on the table.

Um, no. I am fully pro-vaccine, our whole family got vaccinated at the first opportunity. You either have reading comprehension issues or are being deliberately obtuse if you can't understand what I am talking about. No use trying to poke your bubble.

My kid cares. He didn't used to care but started caring in January. Really protesting it, asking when he could stop. And I'm a masker when I go indoors.

I think when we say "kids don't care" it's because we want to believe they don't care, because it's too hard to believe that we've made some of them do something that sucks (and probably has zero benefit for reducing transmission).
