This is compelling data that shows the backwards response of the GOP and their supporters to the pandemic cost lives. Avoidable and very very sad. |
Don’t let the treason weasel off the hook with “shrugged his shoulders;” he was actively trying to kill Democrats with covid. And his idiot voters are still trying to kill themselves; numbers are (thankfully finally) way down (and hopefully they stay that way!!) but Herman Cain Awards are still being given out. The great stupid movement of covid denialism is still killing Republicans. |
What do you care? You should be celebrating, shouldn’t you? |
Of course not. All these years and you still don't see that this is the difference between us and you. |
There also were a lot of deaths in Republican states with the cause of death reported as pneumonia with no underlying cause because they didn’t want to admit it was Covid. There was a huge increase in deaths caused by “senility” in 5 counties in the Tampa Bay Area and nowhere else in America. And remember the coroner in Missouri who said he would not certify Covid as the cause of any deaths in the county? |
No one is celebrating all that death. But we at least did something about it and voted that incompetent out of office. |
Death is only part of the story. In time we’ll have a better idea of how many people were irreparably harmed by this thing when the disability claims start funneling in. |
You understand that your post is projection, right? I, like every other Democrat on this board, have been advocating for masking, vaxxing and staying at home as appropriate. Do you know how many of those deaths left orphans? What a ducking waste and you think I’d celebrate it? No, I don’t. |
So many could have been prevented. You would think would disqualify trump from ever being nominated again but we will see. |
Who cares?
Really, who does? It's people screaming past each other. ![]() |
I was referring to the question of Florida specifically, not R states in general. Looks like Florida drops way down the list when age adjusted. |
Well gee. We are approaching a million families that have lost someone to covid. Maybe they care for starters. |
Democratic states had issues of population density. The country's biggest cities and most densely populated areas are blue. Population density makes it hard to contain pandemics.
Red states on the other hand had no excuses, just bad governance. |
