Help with getting contact lenses in

FWIW, I was 13 when I got contacts and after my eye doctor put them in for me twice, he refused and insisted I learn on my own. He specifically told my parents not to help me. I'm the poster who said it took me an hour each morning to put them in. Now I get them both in, in under 60 seconds.

My 12yo started contacts six months ago. The first lesson at the eye doc's took 2 hours, she couldn't get them in twice so we weren't allowed to take them home. We then embarked on some home practice using my old contacts (they aren't as strong as her rx). No pressure, let her do her practice daily. After a couple weeks, she got them both in minutes. It just takes no pressure and time, I think.

A chair, saline solution, a bathroom, a makeup mirror and leave them alone for an hour to practice and figure out their own way. Just teach them to always start with the right lens.
