
I work in a high school, and I have to say it drives me nuts when I go in a classroom and can't figure out who the teacher is because the teacher is dressed like the students and blends in. I am not saying that all teachers should wear suits, but at least wear something that is appropriate to work with high school ladies and gentlemen. I have a hard time enforcing dress code, when some of the teachers aren't up to code themselves. Fortunately this is only a problem for some, but administration doesn't want to deal with it. I wish parents would complain, maybe something might change. There is no excuse for it! Even our teachers who work with the severely impaired students dress professionally. |
I think this one is a generational thing. I think pool and beach when I see flip-flops, but the young women in my office wear "dress flip-flops" wtih their business casual slacks and skirts. |
