+1 I love MSG. I got a little panda shaped glass of it in Japan and now I just buy the bags to refill. No shame in my umami game! |
So I can grill it tonight with the nicer weather. |
| I get tins of Thai curry paste. |
You look unusual. Where are you from? |
| Where do you guys go? I went to Hmart in Merrifield and was underwhelmed. |

- Kimchi
- Seaweed salad - Dried noodles: sweet potato starch (for japchae), ramen, udon, rice vermicelli - Soy sauce - Fish sauce - Frozen gyoza - Pork belly (thin sliced -- to put in kimchi soup) |
That one is terrible. Go to Fairfax. |
I looove kimchi jjigae. But I like mine with a little more pork. The last time I made it, I used chopped boneless pork shoulder instead of the pork belly. It turned out great. Just another option if you’re ever in a pinch! |
Great Wall Supermarket on Gallows Road is great. |
