AAU Basketball orgs and team costs?

The wacky posts about vaccines and sin and infowars would definitely give me pause.

Here's the team picture from when the now-6th grader team was in 5th grade. So they would all be 10, theoretically.

Basketball should make kids get walker IDs like football does.

They are stable. The teams I’ve seen fold mid season are teams like Takeover, Durant, etc. So many kids think they are superstars and the minute something goes wrong the whole team quits.

Yes THIS happened to us. But due to coach leaving or related issues, then players on team quit to play elsewhere.

Fairfax Stars team fee is $350 plus shared costs of all tournaments (2-3 out of town) plus travel expenses. Probably will be $800-1000 total for March-July spring AAU season.

They will be and that's expected. FCYBL is local.

Be sure to ask about out of town tournaments. It is to be expected that the older and better teams will plan for a few weekend trips, driving distance within DMV. But the team may also attend national tournaments (Myrtle Beach) so your family vacation plans and budget will be impacted if you have to accompany your younger player.
