| Private schools will reflect the richest parents. If they want masks, you will have masks. If they don't want masks, you won't have them unless mandated by law. |
| Our private just announced mask optional beginning Monday, 2/14 |
Lol This is not an issue for us. Please do not re-enroll and let a normal person take your spot. |
Agree with pp! |
| OP - While some private schools have made masks optional outdoors for kids, the public schools in NW DC are still requiring masks outdoors - what makes you think that DC publics will be maskless? |
I might continue to wear masks in crowded spaces after COVID. Haven't had a cold in two years. |

Amen. Back to Loudon till we say so |
| Op asked a reasonable question. These responses are cheap. My kids are young and very much struggling with masks. I want them off. Anyone who thinks there’s no harm is deluding themself. |
Why not try to find them more comfortable masks? There is no harm and if anything good in terms of teaching them community responsibility. |
There is no harm. You’re welcome to unmask your privates. Only after you’re allowed by the school though. Meanwhile unmask your privates in private |

OP didn’t ask a reasonable question. There’s a trend of these just asking kind of posts driving towards the undercover mothers type fascistoid agenda
She didn’t ask a question at all. She wanted to drum up some support for her fellow Parler/dwellers |
+1 There's something weird going on around here with all of these "what are your schools doing on masks" posts. Each one of them seems to be driven by the same person (or an agenda clone) who is trying to bring a debate that is happening in public school systems to private schools. The fact is that private schools make decisions based on the feedback and considerations (and case levels!) of their community. It's a very different deal than making decisions on masking for all of a huge public system, like MoCo or Ffx. All of this concern about what private schools are doing shows a complete lack of understanding of how private education works. Focus on your own school, or your own school system, and don't worry about what others are doing. They're doing what makes sense for their population. |

Public schools will not get their acts together to require vaccines. I don't mind the kids going maskless at our private school because our vaccination rate is around 98%. It's just about the safest place our kids could be without wearing masks. And I know that the school can afford and has installed high quality air filtration systems.
Going maskless at public schools is a different ballgame. There is no vaccination mandate and the quality of the air in classrooms is spotty. |
