You ARE receiving something of value in exchange for your deposit — a spot for your child. This means the IRS does not allow it to be converted to a gift. It’s not the school’s decision, it’s the law. |
Exactly. Beyond that, it is credited to your tuition payment if you actually re-enroll. Why is this so hard? |
