It's not one house, you idiot. |
I agree. This isn't about Chinese or Koreans, it's Indians, etc. |
There was nothing about gold and little rubies in the article, stop making things up, crazy person. |
The other South Asian disagrees with you.

YIKES...they struck at Lori Loughlin's home and made off with 1 Million in jewelry

Welp. While police were not sure if Loughlin and Giannulli's home was specifically targeted, they do believe the heist was carried out by a South American burglary crew that travels into the country and quickly leaves, according to TMZ. |
I never knew they were Asian! What do you bet they read the article and set it up to commit insurance fraud. Who keeps a million dollars in jewelry on top of her dresser? There have been reports that they are divorcing so maybe one partner set it up to liquidate assets. I hope they enjoyed prison. |
| So will the victims have to pay some sort of taxes or no? |
+1 They don't seem like the most ethical people. |
Why would they have to pay taxes? The jewelry was not sold so they made no profit. They didn't have the money in anything profit making so there is no income to report on it. |
Guess you're going to call us racist again and say this South Asian murderer was keeping $200,000 IN CASH in his home for totally legitimate, non-tax evading reasons? Himanshu said as the lease renewal for the business neared, he and Alka were in disagreement over whether to keep the store. She wanted to renew and he wanted to get out of the lease, court documents say he told police. He also told detectives he noticed money missing from the $200,000 in cash he kept in their home and believed Alka was spending it without giving any explanation for what she purchased, court documents said. https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/man-accused-of-running-over-wife-at-md-bank-said-they-had-money-issues-court-docs/2939112/ |
It’s a valuable asset. People should be taxed on wealth, regardless of what it is or whether it generated a profit or not. The fact is they have it, and should be taxed on it simply because they possess it. If you have $1,000,000 worth of jewelry, you can afford a 25% annual tax of the value of it. |
Ok kim |
Are you a child? How can you be an adult and not understand the basic tax rules? We are taxed when we purchase jewelry; not annually. |
