This is nuts.

Her ideology is very malleable. She likes to grab onto a different issue every election. No, she's never won, despite running for either county board or the school board almost every election.

Is that a nice way of saying you have a schizophrenic candidate running in every election?

DP. She used to run as the Green Party candidate and her platforms tended to be consistent with theirs. But they parted ways a few years ago for some reason and ever since she tends to just latch onto whatever’s the big issue of the moment.

She explained what happened, and although she may be nuts it’s somewhat understandable. In order to have their profiles published in the Post, the candidates had to fill out a form that included sections that had to be completed or the form wouldn’t submit. She tried not filling in age, and tried entering text explaining that she was opposed to the question on grounds of ageism, but both of those approaches resulted in an auto rejection. She knew that she had to complete the Post profile for any chance of political viability, so she chose a number.

I can kind of get her stance. Look at all the flack H Clinton got for her age, and she is younger than Trump. Sexism + ageism.

Arlingtonians are too busy and self important yo run for the County Board ir the school board. As a result we have incompetent people following the recommendations of the county manager and staff rather than what is fiscally sound and useful. One board mr
Bet who has lied about bankruptcy, returning illegal campaign contributions, and
Paying his wife from campaign funds. Another board member who almost ran his condo into financial ruin when he was president. And a school board member who had to leave teaching because of the N Urey if being around kids snd now controlsschools where she couldn’t even get a job.

Audrey, the gadfly, looks good compared to them.

Schools are going to be the day of reckoning soon for Arlington. When schools and commute are all you can offer, and the pandemic adversely affected both of them, there is little more to offer.

We just moved back to DC because we put our kids in private school and there is no reason to be in Arlington. We kept our house because it is in the Lee Hwy corridor that is scheduled for redevelopment as public housing. The County can take it and pay above market value as they always do.

It’s BS that she had to include an age.

Its BS that's she's nuts and this is her excuse. Pelosi is 81 and didn't start in politics until her late 40s.

This woman just isn't qualified in an manner. Did she even have a job? Ever?

That’s a separate topic.

She should have been able to leave age blank if she wanted.

Exposed how? Everyone knows Audrey is a lovable yet nutty political fixture here.

Yes this is 100% on brand.

Yep, would never vote for her but always enjoy seeing her run, which she does every single election

Why?

DP. If Audrey were in any place but Arlington, she would win in a landslide. She brings up the hard issues that Arlington people don’t want to hear about: Segregated white schools and neighborhoods, wasteful government spending, silly committees, polls, and other trappings of the democracy that citizehs spend hours of time giving knowledgeable advice that is ignored. She is also a green candidate snd people like to make fun of her while ripping out trees that have resulted in flooding.

She is fun because she makes people face the truth about themselves.

Because then she'd have to live in Loudoun. That whole article and her quotes seem like something from the Onion.

Right? I hope Arlnow runs a story on it and she shows up in the comments defending herself as she does sometimes. It would really make my day.

ArlNow put it in the Morning Notes. Unfortunately she appears to have lost the Obvious Troll endorsement.

Update! She did, in fact, show up in the comments to defend her honor! Never change, Audrey.
