On your left side. That’s a hold out from obedience training in Britain were the left side would put you between your dog and oncoming walkers. Here in the United States where we walk on the right side of the sidewalk, your dog should be on your right side. Unless of course you’re doing obedience trial training then you would need to put the dog on the left side. An ordinary pet should be walked on your right side so you are between oncoming walkers and your dog


I will add what helped me with my dog who was extremely reactive on the leash, was I started to take her to dog Parks and really socialize her with other dogs. That seemed to cure her behavior. I’m not saying that will necessarily work with your dog, but that worked with my dog.

I think you need a different trainer to work with. Try carrying a squirt bottle of water and spraying when the dog gets crazy (agree that this isn’t the zoomies, rather poor behavior). I second (third?) the easy-walk or halti (probably halti) and clicker training. Good luck!
