How do pronounce Naomi?

My grandma used to butcher that name. She pronounced it knee-Oh-muh.

I think most people say nay-Oh-mee, but it’s not uncommon for people to pronounce it as nye-Oh-mee.

Our daughter is nay-o-mi, makes me nuts when people say ny-o-mi (sounds crass to me)

i know sevearl naomis. Either way and usually depends on the accent of the person saying it....
Another variation is where it comes out as Nomi.

This is why we didn't name our kid Aaron. DH and I couldn't agree on pronunciation! Also, Erin for a girl was out because he said it's pronounced exactly like Aaron, and I said he was crazy. Regional accent variation.

Haha I was thinking that but no, I pronounce Aaron as "Ay-ron" and DH pronounces it "Aah-ron." And he pronounces Erin the same way whereas I pronounce it "Eh-rin."
